Come
Let us walk
Along the wooded path
Once more.
In the twilight stillness,
When the day and night
Have suspended their differences,
Take my hand
And let your palm tell mine
You are with me.
Our footfalls muffled
On dew drenched grass,
Our breaths laboured in unison,
Our hearts pushing their confines,
Let us walk again.
Come
Walk with me in silence,
For how can my lips say,
In words
Inadequate, incomplete,
That which my soul has uttered?
Come
Look into my world.
Arrayed
In all its shapes and colours,
Its nights and its days,
The sunlight and the shadows,
The phases of the moon,
The seasons
And the blooms,
The fragrance of night flowers
On the breeze,
The ache that worries
My sleep,
In every tear poised to roll,
In fears that on my spirit
Take their toll,
The ecstasy and the will to live,
The melody of my soul;
In all these
You shall see who
But you?
